Bhubaneswar: Defender Dipsan Tirkey and forward Mariana Kujur are among 4 players from Odisha to have made the cut for Indian teams that will take part in the Asian Hockey 5S World Cup Qualifiers later this month.
Dipsan, a member of India’s 2016 Junior World Cup-winning team, is the only one from the state in the men’s team for the Qualifiers to be held in Oman August 29 to September 2.
The Indian women’s team, on the other hand, will have 3 representatives from Odisha.
The 24-year-old Mariana apart, young Ajmina Kujur (21) and Dipi Monika Toppo (19) will also be on the Oman-bound flight.
