Bhubaneswar: The three accused in the murder case of a youth on New Year’s eve at Nuasahi have been granted five-day police remand by the SDJM court.
The police had requested remand for further interrogation of the accused, Vicky Mallia, Sujit Panda and Guna Malia.
It may be noted that Dipu was allegedly hacked to death by the three accused following a heated exchange of words during celebrations on December 31 at Nuasahi in Sundarapada.
Vicky and Sujit had surrendered before the court on January 5, and later Guna surrendered on January 6.
Earlier, following the incident, locals had staged a road blockade near Sundarpada demanding Rs 20 lakh compensation to the family of the deceased.
