Disney in India on Monday donated Rs 2 crore for the ongoing relief and recovery efforts in several districts of Odish ravaged by cyclone Fani, which made landfall near Puri coast on May 3.
The donation being made through Save the Children in India will support disaster response and provide assistance to those in need.
“Our hearts go out to those affected by this severe cyclonic storm Fani. The families and communities impacted by this devastating calamity need our support as they begin to rebuild. Through our contribution, we hope to help the families affected as they recover from this cyclone,” Country Manager, Star and Disney India, Sanjay Gupta said in a statement.
In August 2018, Disney and Star India had extend support during Kerala floods, the release added.
