Keonjhar: The Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids on the house and office of Pabitra Nayak, a forest official of Champua forest range in Keonjhar district, for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

After a complaint was lodged against the Very High Frequency (VHF) operator, a joint Keonjhar-Balasore vigilance team searched different places on the direction of Balasore SP Jugal Kishore Banoth.

The raids were conducted under the supervision of Vigilance DCP D D Seth.

The exact amount of the disproportionate property unearthed during the raids is yet to be known.
