Cuttack: An argument over the parking of motorcycle left one person dead and three others severely injured at Mugagahir village in Cuttack district.
Police identified the deceased as Dilip Khatua, who used to work as a driver in Cuttack. After reaching his village to celebrate Diwali, he had parked his motorcycle near a temple.
Another villager, Charan Rout (70), asked him not to park his motorcycle there, which led to an argument between them. Khatua refused to move away his motorcycle and went home.
Soon after, Rout and other family members reached Khatua’s house armed with sticks and stones, and severely beat up Khauta and his family members, leaving them severely injured.
The injured were rushed to the Badamba health centre. As their condition turned critical, they were shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. While Khatua succumbed to his injuries, his father, mother and brother are in a critical condition.
