Divorce Rumours: Govinda & Sunita Ahuja’s Managers Issue Different Statements

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja’s strained marital life became the talk of the town after reports claimed that the couple, married for 38 years, is heading for divorce.

While Govinda and Sunita remain tight-lipped, the latter’s manager rubbished the reports.

“This is not true,” Sunita’s manager Sadia Solkar said in an interview with Mint, refusing to elaborate on the matter.

Addressing the divorce rumours, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha told HT City, “Sunita ji ne jo recent interviews mein baatein boli hain, yeh unn sab ka nateeja hai. Unhone zyaada bol diya hai (The rumours began as a result of everything Sunita Ji has been saying in recent interviews. She might have said a bit too much. And you know Govinda sir… there is friction).”

“No, they are not involved as of now, I urge everyone to wait for a day or two,” he added, when asked about possible legal proceedings.

Divorce reports started doing the rounds after a source told ETimes, “Sunita apparently sent a separation notice a few months ago, but there has been no movement since then.”

Reacting to the rumours, Govinda’s niece Arti Singh and nephew Krushna Abhishek called the reports ‘baseless gossip.’
