New Delhi: The ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ lead actress Deepika Singh aka Sandhya is running from pillar to post seeking help for her aged mother who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Deepika stays in Mumbai with her husband and four-year old son, while her parents stay at Paharganj, a crowded area in Delhi.
Divulging the hardship her old parents are going through at present, Deepika said the government hospital, where her mother underwent the COVID-19 tests, is not handing over the test reports to her father.
Besides, her family members in Delhi are unable to get her ailing mother admitted to any hospital in the state for treatment.
A helpless Deepika took to social media to share her plight and appealed to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to provide assistance to her parents during this difficult time.
Deepika shared a video on her Instagram handle appealing for help. Along with the video, she posted, “My mom has been diagnosed with COVID positive. My mom & dad are in Delhi. The test has been done in Lady Hardinge hospital & they didn’t give reports. They only allowed my father to click its picture. I really hope the concerned personnel are reading this and my mom there receives some relief. We need your help.
