DJ Azex Death In Odisha: Anticipatory Bail Plea Of Rashmiranjan Rejected

Bhubaneswar: In a new development in the death of popular DJ from Odisha Akshaya Maharana aka DJ Azex, a court has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of a man whose name had figured in an alleged love triangle involving the deceased’s girlfriend.

The anticipatory bail application moved by Rashmiranjan Baliarsingh, stated to be a male friend of Azex’s girlfriend, has been dismissed by the court here. As a result, trouble appears to be mounting on him in the sensational case.

It may be noted here that the family members of Azex, who was found hanging in his residence in Bhubaneswar on March 18 night, had  alleged murder and involvement of his female friend and another youth in his death. They had alleged that a love triangle was instrumental in the death.

Azex’s female friend and Rashmiranjan had been named by his family in the FIR. A case was also filed under Sections 306 (abetment of suicide) and 34 (crime done by several persons with a common intention) and investigation has been underway to identify the abettor.

Meanwhile, the family members of Azex have alleged that the data in his mobile phone have been tampered with. They said the mobile phone of DJ Azex was handed over by the police after investigation to his family members.

However, the parents of the DJ Azex have now reportedly claimed that a number of important photos and video chats were found missing from the mobile phone.

After finding several data missing, his parents visited Kharvel Nagar police station in the state capital and sought to know as to why and how several photos and video chats were deleted from the mobile phone and who was responsible for it.

They further alleged that they even two months after the death of their son, they have been unable to get justice.

Azex’s mother claimed that photos have been deleted from her son’s mobile phone, and lamented that they were yet to get justice though two months have elapsed since his death.

Claiming that police are again asking for Azex’s mobile phone, they said they have decided to take up the matter with senior police officials for justice.

It may be recalled that DJ Azex was reportedly found hanging under mysterious circumstances in Bhubaneswar on March 18 night. Azex had been working as a DJ for almost ten years. He had more than 90 thousand followers on Instagram.
