Bhubaneswar: DJ Azex aka Akshay Kumar was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
According to sources, he reportedly died by suicide and his body was found hanging in his room. His body has been kept in the Capital hospital mortuary here and Kharavel Nagar police have begun an inquiry into circumstances leading to his death.
Azex, a popular DJ in India, was in his room when the city witnessed thunderstorm and rain last night. “There was a power cut during the thunderstorm yesterday and Azex was in his room. When we went to call him around 10 pm, we found his door locked. We broke open the door and found him hanging,” a family member said on Sunday.
He was rushed to Kar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
His family has ruled out any fight or distress which could have instigated Azex to take the extreme step.
