Bhubaneswar: It is indeed a proud moment for VIMSAR Burla that one of its former students is leading from the front during a time of unprecedented crisis all over the world with Coronavirus.
Dr Chittaranjan Joshi from Odisha has been working in Australia for 15 years and is leading the fight in the country.
A graduate from VIMSAR Burla, Dr Joshi went on to do his MS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He then proceeded to work in Australia, where he is now Head of the Department, Pediatrics in a Woman and Children healthcare centre at Adelaide.
About his suggestions on Coronavirus, he said that people should avoid unnecessary gatherings and isolate themselves to avoid being infected with the virus. He also implored people to support health workers and doctors who have been fighting against the pandemic like soldiers.
He also dispelled the belief that hot weather makes any impact on Coronavirus. If that were true, there wouldn’t have been any impact in the middle-east.
