Cuttack: A doctor of SCB Medical College and Hospital here has been accused of misbehaving with a patient.
A pregnant woman, a native of Banki area of Cuttack district, was admitted to the Gynecology Department of SCB in a critical condition. She was allegedly left unattended. Finding no other option, her relatives went to call the doctor, who allegedly got angry and scolded them. He also pulled down the saline of the patient, they alleged.
Following this incident, family members of the patient took her to a private hospital.
“Our patient had some urinary problem. We admitted her to the hospital in a serious condition. One doctor misbehaved with us. He also pulled down the saline pipe of our patient,” said Bilasa Mahari, a relative of the patient.
However, the doctor is yet to comment regarding the issue.
