Dog Dies Fighting Cobra To Save Master’s Life In Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: There is a common belief that dog is the most loyal and faithful animal. Dog is considered the best friend of human beings. The old saying has been proved right once again with a pet canine laying down own life while fighting a poisonous snake to safe its master and his family members.

The incident took place at Golgunda village under the Burla Municipality in Odisha’s Sambalpur disrict on Thursday.

According to sources, the pet named Blacky swung into action as soon as it spotted a cobra trying to enter its master’s house. It put all its might to stop the reptile from entering the house.

Even after being bitten by the cobra, Blacky fought with the venomous reptile and killed it. After some time, the dog also died due to snakebite.

The incident has become one of the main topics of discussion in the entire area.

Sad over the death of their pet, its master said that Blacky was one of their family members and the sacrifice made by it to save their lives will always be remembered.
