Cuttack: A woman cop has landed in a soup with her domestic help lodging a written complaint against her, alleging physical and mental harassment, at Badamba police station in Odisha’s Cuttack district.
According to sources, locals opposed the IIC of Badamba police station Snigdhamaye Baral when she recently visited Sanjukta Patra and allegedly exerted pressure on her to resume work at her residence. The IIC was later rescued by police.
Sanjukta, who had been working for the woman cop for past two years, told the media that she took care of her son and attended to household chores. “She would hit me and accuse me stealing food. She even threatened to put my family members behind bars,” the domestic help alleged.
Confirming the complaint against the IIC, Athgarh SDPO Bijay Bisi said that an inquiry into the allegations is on.
