Donate day’s salary for conjoined twins’ surgery: Kandhamal collector

Phulbani: Kandhamal collector Brunda D on Tuesday appealed to government employees of the district to donate a day’s salary to the district Red Cross fund for the surgery of conjoined twins, Honey and Singh, admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi
The amount will be debited to Red Cross fund in Axis Bank account number 917010053822084.
Earlier, the state government had announced a financial assistance of Rs 1 crore for the twins’ treatment from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The AIIMS has formed a 30-member team for pre-surgery assessment of the twins. The doctors will reportedly conduct the separation surgery in three phases, sources said.
