Bhadrak: Unidentified miscreants looted valuables and donation boxes from two temples in Odisha’s Bhadrak district.
The loot incident, which took place at Santhia under the jurisdiction of Bhadrak Town police station, came to light on Monday morning.
As per information, the robbers struck at Madanmohan Temple and Govindajew Temple by breaking the locks and decamped with the donation boxes. Several other valuables used for puja of the deities were also looted by the miscreants.
Locals residents and temple staff informed the police about the incident. Teams of police personnel visited both the temples and started investigation into the loot.
Details of the stolen items are yet to be ascertained, police said.
Preliminary investigation indicated that drug users might have been involved in both the loot incidents.
