Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi on Sunday requested people not to step out of their houses after the 48-hour shutdown is lifted at 8 pm and crowd shops.
“Though the shutdown ends at 8 pm today, most grocery and vegetable shops are likely to open tomorrow morning only. So, when you go out tomorrow to make purchases, please walk down to the nearby shop and maintain social distancing,” he said.
Urging people to cooperate with police personnel, sanitation and health workers, Sarangi asked them to cover their face with mask or at least a handkerchief while going out. “But ensure they are cleaned, sun-dried after every use,” he added.
The Police Commissioner also praised the people of the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar for cooperating with them during the last 48 hours.
