Gajapati: In a bid to identify corona positive cases and contain its spread, the Gajapati district administration on Friday launched door-to-door health screening.
The screening is being carried out by 60 doctors’ teams to identify the people having influenza-like symptoms.
In order to facilitate screening work and cover all the residents, the administration has announced a three-day shutdown from July 10. It has also sealed all the entry routes to the district.
Before starting the screening, the administration had sought cooperation from all residents of the urban areas for the process and appealed to them to remain at their homes during the visit of the health teams.
With one death and 429 recoveries, the Gajapati district has 138 active cases at present.
