Berhampur: Rameshwari Nanda did Odisha proud by winning the ‘Brand Ambassador Of Mumbai Global For Odisha-2020’ and ‘Best Body Beauty Crown’ awards in a national level beauty contest recently.
The Berhampur-based girl was declared winner on Wednesday evening after three rounds in the ‘Mumbai Global India Beauty Pageant 2020’.
The contest was organized by Mumbai Global Club.
Rameswari, daughter of Pratima Nanda, hails from Balugaon in Berhamapur, while her in-laws’ house is in Anant Nagar.
The only female contestant from Odisha in the married women category, Rameswari beat 11 other participants from different parts of the country.
She took part in the national contest online during the lockdown, and gives the credit for her success to husband Ardhendu Sekhar Panigrahi and her parents.
Rameswari had earlier participated and won in different socio-cultural functions like ‘Raja Queen 2019’ and Women’s Day celebration.
A passionate singer and dancer since childhood, she dreams of setting up her production house some day.
A teacher in an English medium school in Berhampur, Rameswari also runs a cultural organization ‘Kalanjali’.
