Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Dhanamanjuri Devi has struck double gold at the Asian Cup Canoe Competition 2024-25 (Sprint & Marathon) in Hong Kong.
The 17-year-old Manipuri canoeist, who represents Odisha, topped the K1W U-23 500m category on Saturday.
A day earlier, Dhanamanjuri paddled to victory in the K1W U-23 1000m race.
Dhanamanjuri trains at SAI Special Area Games Centre in Odisha’s Jagatpur, which has a water sports complex. She won a record 10 gold medals for Odisha in last year’s National Sub-Junior & Junior Canoe Sprint Championships in Bhopal.
