Double Murder Triggers Panic In Jatni

Jatni: Panic gripped Jatni area in Odisha’s Khurda district following the brutal murder of two persons over land dispute on Friday.

Sources said one Gangadhar Sethi of Bachhara village died in the afternoon after his younger brother hurled a country bomb at him.

Police said the incident was the outcome of a long-standing land dispute between the two brothers

A manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.

In another incident, Sabita Swain, a woman of Ramachandrapur Bazaar was stabbed to death by her nephew Bikash Swain in the morning. The accused fled the area after committing the crime.

Land dispute is the outcome of the murder, police said adding that efforts are on to track down the absconding accused.
