Bhubaneswar: The state government has developed a new mobile app, ‘Odisha Budget’, to help people access the 2020-21 budget documents in real time.
According to sources, any individual can download the android-based app to access the digital form of the documents once Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari presents the annual budget for 2020-21 financial year on Tuesday (February 18).
People will be able access budget speech in English and Odia, annual financial statement, budget at a glance, explanatory memorandum, revenue receipts and demand for grants, the sources added.
A welcome move by the Finance Department, it will help reduce paper consumption and preserve the green cover.
