When educators across the globe meet, they share their common passion and exchange impactful thoughts on education around. Advisor OAVS, Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo delivered the keynote address at the Global Education Supplies Solutions (GESS) Dubai Education Conference 2020. This year, it was held in partnership with the United Arab Emirates, Ministry of Education on February 25 at Sheikh Saeed Halls, Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE.
Dr Sahoo spoke on the topic ‘Creating & Integrating the Curriculum to meet UN Sustainable Development Goals’. He concluded the session with an effective, thought provoking and an action oriented discussion.
The noted panelists discussed curriculum that can and must contribute to a sustainable global development. From preschool to tertiary education – how educational institutions can deal intensively with matters of sustainable development and foster the development of sustainability competencies among young leaders.
Dr Sahoo explained the concept of OAVS and how the vision of the Chief Minister of Odisha for free quality English medium schools is being implemented in all the 314 blocks, which will be a benchmark in the education sector of Odisha in the next five years.
Dr Sahoo emphasised on good parenting for developing a sustainable future, how both school and parents with hand holding of the child make him a responsible, happy, citizen of the globe.
