Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday appointed Dr Sachidananda Mohanty as the Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET).
Prof Mohanty was on deputation as the Medical Superintendent of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
According to an official notification, Prof Mohanty is posted as the DMET with effect from January 31 or from the date he actually assumes the charge.
The NOC for extension of deputation of Dr Mohanty issued in March, 2022 is superseded accordingly, it said.
Prof Mohanty will succeed Prof (Dr) Rama Raman Mohanty as the next DMET of the state.
