Bhubaneswar: Dr Sailesh Kumar has been appointed as new president of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, in a notification on Monday, said, “In exercise of power cinferred by section 7 (1) of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Act, 1956, as amended by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Act, 2012, the Central government hereby nominates Dr Sailesh Kumar as President of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar.”
Dr Kumar is now serving as professor in Surgery department of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi. He also holds the post of senior member of the governing body of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
