Dreaded Criminal Dilip Nayak Killed In Road Mishap Near Berhampur

Berhampur: Dreaded criminal Dilip Nayak, who was on a parole, was killed in a road accident near the city on Thursday.

According to sources, Dilip was going to his home on a bike when he met with the accident at Ankuli near Berhampur. He died on the spot.

Dilip was arrested during an encounter with police in August, 2016. He had sustained bullet injuries and was sent to jail after recovery. Earlier, he was sentenced to life  imprisonment after being convicted in a murder case in 1997.

He had been asked to return to jail after completion of his parole period on December 22. He was involved in several criminal cases including murder, robbery, dacoity, rioting and arsoning in Ganjam district.
