Dreaded criminal injured in police encounter in Cuttack

Cuttack: Dreaded criminal Raghunath Das was injured in an exchange of fire with police at CDA area under Markatnagar police limits here on Tuesday.
He was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital.
Acting on a tip-off about the criminal’s presence in the area, a special squad of Commissionerate Police reached the spot to nab him. Sensing trouble, Raghunath opened fire at policemen. He sustained critical injury on his leg in retaliatory firing by the cops.
A bomb was seized from his possession. Several criminal cases are pending against Raghunath at various police stations in the district, police sources said.
