Puri: Dreaded criminal Sunil Jena has been arrested by the police in Delang area of Odisha’s Puri district. A pistol and some cartridges have been seized from his possession, reports said on Thursday.
As per preliminary information, Sunil was apprehended during patrolling by a police team on Hatadelang-Kuapada road under the jurisdiction of Delang police station late on Tuesday night.
Sunil and his associate, who were travelling on a motorcycle, tried to speed away after seeing the police team. However, the police personnel chased them and nabbed both the criminals.
After taking Sunil into custody, the police are interrogating him to obtain information about his activities and criminal network.
