Dreaded Criminal Susant Dhal Samanta To Be Shifted From Jharpada Jail

Bhubaneswar/Cuttack:  With the arrest of two criminals and a lady corporator of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) in connection with the Subhadrapur firing incident, the Commissionerate Police has decided to shift dreaded criminal Susant Dhalasamant from the Jharpada Special Jail in the capital city to a jail in Western Odisha.

“Since Susant had plotted the murder of his former business associate and sand quarry owner Bijay Pal of Subhadrapur area from inside the Jharpada jail, we have decided to shift him to other jail, most likely in Western Odisha so that he would not be able to run his crime syndicate as he was able to do here,” a senior police officer said.

Reliable sources, however, said that the dreaded criminal most likely will be shifted to Balangir jail.

Meanwhile, the Commissionerate Police has made an appeal to the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Rural to shift Susant from Jharpada jail
