Dreaded Dacoits Nabbed After Police Encounter In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Tuesday nabbed two dreaded
dacoits following a brief exchange fire at Balianta area.

They were identified as Hari Mental and Lipu.

On a tip-off, a police party raided the spot after the duo was spotted
in the area. Seeing the cops the criminals fired some shots to escape.

However, in retaliatory firing by police, both of them received
gunshot wounds on their legs and were admitted to a hospital.

Police have recovered two pistols and bullets from their possession.

The dacoits are involved in many criminal cases including highway
robberies and loot, Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrat Bhoi informed.
