Koraput: Police on Wednesday arrested dreaded Maoist Madabi Bondi for his alleged involvement in the landmine blast at Sunki ghat of Koraput district on February 1 this year.
On February 2, the state government had ordered a Crime Branch probe into the blast, which claimed lives of at least eight policemen.
Madabi was nabbed from an undisclosed location in Koraput district. He was produced in the Court of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, who rejected his bail and sent him to Koraput district jail, police sources said.
The Maoist was active in Dantewada region of Chhattisgarh. He was carrying a reward of Rs 4 lakh on his head, the sources added.
