Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor, expecting his first child with Alia Bhat, wants to have many kids. In fact, it was among the first topic of discussion he had with Alia after they fell in love.
Also on Ranbir’s wish list is to direct a film which will be produced by Alia.
“When I produced Jagga Jasoos with Anurag Basu, I didn’t have that experience. I was only producing that film as an actor. So till now, I have not worked as a producer. But yes, I have always wanted to direct a film,” the 39-year-old actor told FilmiBeat.
“During lockdown, I have also written a story which I liked very much… But I don’t have that skill to write.. so I can go and share that story with people and make a film with them. But yes, direction is more on my wish list than production. Well, my wife is a producer.. and is a very good producer, so maybe she can produce my film,” Ranbir remarked.
Not many know that Ranbir had assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali during the making of highly-acclaimed film ‘Black’, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji in lead roles. That was before Ranbir made his acting debut with Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’.
Alia recently stepped into production with ‘Darlings’ which will be released on Netflix.
Ranbir and Alia’s much awaited film ‘Brahmastra’ will finally hit the screens in September. But right now, Ranbir is busy promoting ‘Shamshera’ which is scheduled to be released in theatres on July 22. The Karan Malhotra-directed film will see Ranbir in a double role. The Yash Raj Films-backed project also stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in key roles.
