Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday started drive-in COVID-19 testing at the parking lot of BMC Bhawani Mall in Saheed Nagar.
Both, RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen test is being conducted at the mall from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, the BMC stated this in a tweet.
People will have to go to the centre on their own arrangements in a vehicle for the test, the BMC said.
As in the vaccination process which is underway in five private facilities in the city, the beneficiary will have to wait for their turn in the vehicle and only get down to sit at a designated place for sample collection.
This is aimed at avoiding crowding at vaccination centres and to maintain social distance.
