Anugola: Driver of a truck was killed after the vehicle loaded with iron rods overturned in Palalahada area of Odisha’s Anugola district.
The mishap reportedly took place near Jogimunda Chowk on National Highway 49 in Palalahada area of the district around midnight on Sunday.
According to information, the vehicle was on its way from Sundargada towards Kendujhar when it suddenly lost balance and overturned. The driver was crushed under the heavy load of iron rods and died at the scene. His identity was yet to be established.
After receiving information, teams from the fire service and police rushed to the spot and launched efforts to extricate the body from beneath the iron rods.
The exact circumstances that led to the mishap are still under investigation.
