Jabalpur: Two people lost their lives and several others were injured when a city bus rammed into a number of vehicles after its driver suffered a heart attack and passed away while he was on the wheel.
The incident, which took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, was caught on camera at a traffic signal.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus was passing through Gohalpur police station area when it suddenly deviated from its path and collided with vehicles nearby and ran over a motorbike, before coming to a halt.
Video footage showed the bus barging into unalert vehicles which had stopped at a red light. The bus also dragged a two-wheeler which came under its wheels.
Police officials arrived at the spot without delay, and took the injured persons and the driver — who was lying in his seat — to a nearby hospital. Doctors informed police that the driver had died because of a heart attack.
