Driving Workplace Safety: AM/NS India’s Sagasahi Project Bags ‘Zero Harm’ Award

Bhubaneswar: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has been honoured with Zero Harm Safety Culture Award in the Organisational Category for its Sagasahi Project.

“The award highlights AM/NS India’s commitment to safety excellence, strong leadership engagement, and the successful implementation of a “Zero Harm” workplace culture across its operations,” a company release said.

It further noted that the participating organisations underwent a rigorous evaluation process led by an expert jury. Applicants were required to provide detailed submissions backed by verifiable, on-ground implementations and measurable safety outcomes, demonstrating the maturity and overall effectiveness of their safety management systems.

Project Head of the Sagasahi Project Ratnesh Prasad, and Section In-Charge of SafetySubhra Ranjan Khandual received the award on behalf of AM/NS India from Dr Dinesh Upadhyay, former member of the Ministry of AYUSH, alongside prominent industry leaders and safety professionals from across the country, in New Delhi on October 10.

Company representatives added that the achievement reinforces AM/NS India’s ongoing focus on fostering workplace accountability, proactive employee participation, and operational safety excellence across all its facilities.
