Puri: With the Pilgrim Town of Puri in Odisha expecting a huge influx of devotees for Suna Besha of the Lords of Shree Jagannath temple this afternoon, ADG Amitabh Thakur on Thursday informed about traffic restrictions for smooth conduct of the rituals.
“There will be slow movement of traffic and all two-wheelers and light vehicles from Bhubaneswar on NH-316 will diverted from Malatipatapur via ROB. Shuttle services will be run from Talabania and Malatipatapur. There is no restrictions for residents of Puri,” he said.
The stretch from Atharanala Chhak to Hospital Chhak from Hospital Chhak to Subash Bose Crossing has been declared as no vehicle zone for smooth darshan of the sibling deities, he said.
“Drones have been deployed for management of traffic and parking. Battery-operated vehicles will ferry elderly and divyang devotees,” Thakur added.

>> All the light vehicles from Bhubaneswar on NH-316 will diverted from Malatipatapur via ROB, Nilachal Link, Toshali Chhak, Grid Station Chhak, Bhudan Chhak, with parking at ITI, Indoor Stadium, Helipad, Sanskrit University Car Parking.
>> The exit route for light vehicles from Talabania side is via ITI, Central School, Bhudan, Grid Station, Balighat, New Nabakalebar Road, Biraharekrushnapur and NH- 316.
>> Two-wheelers from Bhubaneswar on NH-316 will enter Puri via Malatipatapur, Batagaon, New NH bypass up to Mangalaghat with parking at Jagannath Ballav, Matitota.
>> Vehicles having passes will enter via Malatipatapur, Batagaon, Mangalaghat, Sterling, Hans Cocopalm, Lokanath Road, and parking at Gadadhar High School, Chapan Chhak, Yatrika & Nali Field Parking (Baliapanda). They will return on same route.
>> Light vehicles from Konark will park at Talabania. Two-wheelers from Konark will park at Blue Flag Beach via Grid Station, ITI, City Road, Subash Bose Chhak. They will return on the same route.
>> Regular passenger buses will play to Talabania bus stand as per mobility plan.
