Drugs On Cruise Case: Aryan Khan Seeks Modification Of ‘Weekly Visit To NCB Office’ Bail Condition

Mumbai: Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan has sought modification of the bail conditions granted by Justice Nitin Sambre in the drugs on cruise case. He moved the Bombay High Court for the same.

Khan has sought relaxation of the condition directing him to appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai office every Friday, Bar&Bench reported.

Among the 13 conditions in the October 28 bail plea to Aryan Khan was to report to the office of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Mumbai every Friday between 11 am and 2 pm to mark his presence.

Khan has sought modification of that order on the following grounds:

  • that since the investigation has been transferred to the Special Investigation Team, Delhi office of NCB, his visits to the Mumbai office could be relaxed.
  • that every Friday when he visits the NCB office in Mumbai, he is accosted by the policemen due to the large presence of media personnel outside the office.

The application is likely to be listed before Justice Sambre on Monday, December 13.

Khan was taken into custody by NCB on October 2, 2021, after a cruise ship en route to Goa from Mumbai was raided. He was placed under arrest on October 3 and charged with offences under Section 8(c), 20(b), 27, 28, 29 and 35 under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
