Mumbai: Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor’s son and actress Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor has been summoned by Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) in connection with a drugs party case.
Siddhant has been asked to appear on November 25, while social media influencer Orhan Awatramani alias Orry, who missed the earlier summons, was given a fresh date of appearance
(November 26).
The Rs 252-crore mephedrone (MD) drug trafficking case dates back to March 2024, when Mumbai Police unearthed a large-scale mephedrone manufacturing unit on a farm in Maharashtra’s Sangli district. Over 126 kg of the drug, which was valued at around Rs 252 crore, was seized, NDTV reported.
The investigation got fast-tracked after the deportation and arrest of Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh (also known as Salim Shaikh or Lavish) from Dubai earlier this month.
According to remand note of Anti-Narcotics Cell, Suhail Shaikh said during interrogation that he organised high-profile parties which were frequented by celebrities, politicians and socialites. Among those Shaikh named were Alishah Parkar, son of Dawood Ibrahim’s deceased sister, actors Nora Fatehi and Shraddha Kapoor, Siddharth Kapoor, producers Abbas-Mustan, rapper Loka, NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique and Orry.
