Cuttack: Two perosns were injured after being hit by a police vehicle at Biju Patnaik Square in Odisha’s Cuttack city on Friday.
According to onlookers, the driver was allegedly drunk and lost control on the wheels which led to the accident. After hitting a cobbler and a cyclist, the police vehicle veered off the road and slipped into a drain. The driver was later rescued by staff of the local police station.
After being administered first aid, the injured persons filed a complaint against the erring driver.
The matter is being investigated, the police said.
