Kalahandi: A drunk youth allegedly killed four persons on the Palasa-Pipalguda road under Jayapatna police limits of Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Saturday might.
The dead have been identified as Sudar Nayak, Singa Nayak and Nakula Nayak of one family and Upi Sabar, all of them residents of Palasa village.
Sources said the accused, identified as Jatindra, was inebriated when he hacked the four persons to death with a sharp weapon.
The Kalahandi SP said that on being informed, Jayapatna police reached the spot and arrested Jatindra, who confessed to his crime. The police are investigating to find if past enmity led to the crime.
