New Delhi: The Centre on Thursday informed all states and Union Territories that a dry run for COVID -19 vaccination will be conducted on January 2, 2021 at state headquarters.
The decision was taken during a video-conference conducted by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare with the states and UTs on the day.
Odisha government has requested the Ministry to enable the IT platform to conduct the dry run in its all 30 district headquarters hospitals along with state headquarters Bhubaneswar. The vaccination sites have been identified in the districts and Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
It was informed at the meeting that the Co-WIN web portal (trial version) will be used for dry run vaccination. At each site, 25 beneficiaries (Health Care workers) will be enrolled in the portal for dry run vaccination.
A five-member vaccination team including one vaccinator will be deployed at each site. All protocols related to COVID-19 vaccination will be followed during the dry run, a Ministry release stated.
