Dubai, Singapore Flights Likely Soon With Resumption Of Bhubaneswar-Bangkok Service

Bhubaneswar: International flight services between Bhubaneswar and Bangkok have resumed after remaining suspended since July.

Officials said flight number 1065 departed from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar for Bangkok at 11:05 pm on Friday. The return flight from Bangkok to Bhubaneswar took off at 5:30 am on Saturday.

The service will initially operate twice a week. Flights will depart Bhubaneswar on Friday nights and return on Saturday mornings. Similarly, they will leave on Monday nights and arrive back on Tuesday mornings.

From 25 October, the schedule will change in line with the winter timetable. The flights will then operate during the day instead of at night. After arriving in Bhubaneswar at 11:00 am, the aircraft will depart for Bangkok at 1:35 pm.

The resumption of the Bangkok service is positive news for Bhubaneswar airport. The route has shown healthy passenger demand.

Airport authorities are also taking steps to introduce flights to Dubai in the coming days. Additionally, Singapore Airlines services may begin once sufficient passenger load is achieved.
