Centurion: Skipper JP Duminy played a captain’s knock of unbeaten 64 off 40 balls, as South Africa defeated India by six wickets in the second T20 International. With this, the three-match series is levelled 1-1.
Chasing the target of 189, Duminy was well supported by Heinrich Klassen, whose 69 off 30 deliveries helped the hosts win the match in 18.4 overs.
For India, Manish Pandey (79 off 48 balls) and MS Dhoni (52 off 28 balls), scored quick half-centuries to guide India to a total score of 188 runs.
The duo put 98 runs on board for the fifth wicket after India were dealt with a severe blow due to continuous fall of wickets. At 10.4 overs, India was reeling with 90-4, when Pandey and Dhoni took control of the situation.
While Pandey struck six boundaries and three sixes during his knock, Dhoni struck four boundaries and three sixes in the match.
