Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police busted a duplicate sauce manufacturing unit in the Jagatpur area on the outskirts of Cuttack city on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police of Jagatpur police station led by the IIC Pradipta Nayak raided the unit in the IB Road area and seized hundreds of duplicate sauce bottles, machines, artificial colours and essence.
Police later detained a person.
Talking to the media, the IIC said that the duplicate unit, which was clandestinely operating for the last five months, has no trade licence.
Stating that the interrogation of the detainee is underway, he said that investigation is on to ascertain the supply of these duplicate sauce to other parts of the state.
