Duplicate Zarda Manufacturing Units Busted In Odisha’s Bhadrak

Bhadrak: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch on Saturday conducted raids at different places in the district and seized huge quantity of duplicate zarda and tobacco products of reputed brands.

According to an official release, around 1 quintal of tobacco materials, 16 kg of different chemicals, 173 pouches of finished products, around 2000 empty tin boxes and packing machines were seized during the raids.

During a raid on a place in the town, duplicate Gopal zarda, manufacturing and counterfeiting equipment were seized. One Jaga Nath of Mirzapur under Mathasahi police limits was arrested.

A huge quantity of similar tobacco products and other materials were found from the house of one Fakir Saha of Mirzapur under Chidiamerpda police limits. The counterfeit paan masala manufacturing unit was allegedly run by Fakir Saha, Sk Mahiraj and Sk Anis.

Similarly STF personnel raided the house of Mallik Gulphan of Helasahi and seized the tobacco products and other materials.
