Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri’s world has turned upside down since their son Aryan Khan was arrested by NCB in the rave party cruise drugs case.
It’s been nearly two weeks since Aryan was taken into custody – initially under NCB and then lodged in Mumbai’s Arthur Jail – yet bail remains elusive for the starkid.
His parents and well-wishers had expected the special court to accept the bail plea this week, but that hasn’t happened. As India celebrates Dussehra and Vijaya Dashami on Friday, the Khans in ‘Mannat’ will remain worried and tense with the court reserving its order till October 20.
But there was some good news for Aryan as he received a money order from his parents and permission for a video call with family members.
ANI quoted jail officials as saying that the 23-year-old spoke with his parents via video call from inside Arthur Road Jail.
Jail superintendent Nitin Waychal said that Aryan received a money order of Rs 4,500, to pay for his expenses in jail canteen. That’s the maximum amount a prisoner can receive, according to jail rules.
Like all mothers, Gauri has been constantly praying for her son since Navaratri. According to a family friend, she has kept a ‘mannat’ for Aryan’s return.
Shah Rukh has cancelled his Spain schedule to shoot a special song with Deepika Padukone for their upcoming film ‘Pathan,’ as well as other schedule projects.
