The law minister said he had a detailed meeting to discuss how the e-courts project could take shape, India Today reported.
The e-courts project aims to transform the judicial system of the country through the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) enablement of courts.
Soon I will meet the Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud and a team from the Information technology ministry, said Rijiju. He further said that he requested the CJI to make things clear before he demits as the e-committee’s chairperson. Kiren Rijiju said the total number of pending cases is about to reach 5 crore.
