Bhubaneswar: A mild earthquake of 3.8 magnitude on the Richter Scale struck Odisha’s Koraput district early on Friday morning.
According to National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at 5.05 am and was at a depth of 5 km.
Tremors were felt in Narayanpatna, Laxmipur and Bandhugaon areas and people could be seen rushing out of their houses. They also heard some roaring sounds, sources said.
There has been no report of any casualty or damage of properties.
