Bhubaneswar: A lone goal by Laldanmawia Ralte in injury time helped East Bengal beat Aizawl FC 1-0 and seal the first semifinal spot in the quarterfinal spot in the Hero Super Cup in Kalinga Stadium on Sunday.
The goal was scored by Ralte, a former Aizawl midfielder, late into injury time. The first half was slow, except a few attacks by East Bengal FC, which was denied by the Mizoram outfit.
In the second half also, East Bengal kept but Aizawl FC kept the match alive.
Ralte scored off the penalty and confirmed the semi-final spot.
