Bhubaneswar: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday issued notification issued for sixth phase and third-round elections to 6 parliamentary and 42 assembly constituencies in Odisha on May 25.
The constituencies are Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Puri, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
According to the poll body’s notification, the last date for filing nominations is May 6. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on May 7 while candidates can withdraw nominations by May 9.
Besides Odisha, polling will be held in total 51 Lok Sabha seats across five states – Bihar, Haryana, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, – and Union Territory of New Delhi.
Polling timing in Sambalpur Parliamentary Constituency
Voting in Kuchinda, Rairakhol constituency from 7 am to 4 pm; polling in Deogarh from 7 am to 5 pm and voting in Sambalpur, Chhendipada, Athmallik Assembly area from 7 am to 6 pm.
In the remaining 5 LS seats, booths will remain open from 7 am to 6 pm.
Odisha will be voting for 21 LS and 147 Assembly seats in four phases on May 13, 20, May 25 and June 1.
